The VERIQA platform currently comprises three modules, including VERIQA RT MonteCarlo 3D for accurate verification of patient treatment plans based on independent 3D dose calculations. Dose is calculated using the well-established SciMoCa™ Monte Carlo dose calculation algorithm. Calculation results are available in a few minutes, saving radiation oncology departments valuable time in daily quality assurance.
The next module to be added to the platform will enable true 3D pre-treatment and in vivo EPID dosimetry in a fully automated workflow. RT EPID 3D will help medical physicists to both identify and estimate the extent of potential patient-related errors for each delivered fraction.
